The Sauter nitrogen cooling container - the ideal solution!

The Sauter nitrogen cooling container is the ideal solution for cooled and therefore fresh concrete of a high quality standard. The mixing water is cooled to a constant level of 4° C. The temperature can be lowered further by cooling the minerals with air, which is cooled to the necessary temperature with nitrogen. In addition to cooling of the mixing water and the minerals with air, liquid nitrogen can also be used in the mixing vehicles. It is possible to achieve a concrete temperature of 19° C at high summer temperatures of 28° to 30° C while producing 300 m3 of concrete a day.Cooling with nitrogen is very efficient and flexible option for cooling gravel, sand and water. With our standard container a concrete output of 250 - 300 m3 can be cooled by 1 K , 50 m3/h by approx. 6 K (or 80 m3/h by around 4 K). As a general rule, the nitrogen requirements can be calculated at 8 kg LIN per K and m3. The advantages of nitrogen cooling are:

  • Outstanding efficiency
  • Simple and inexpensive construction
  • Versatile applications
  • No effect on the ??water/cement value
  • No plant corrosion
